Jump Bug is a 1981 scrolling shooter platform game developed by Alpha Denshi under contract for Hoei Corporation. It was distributed in arcades by Sega in Japan and Europe, and by Rock-Ola in North America. The player controls a bouncing car in a forced scrolling world. The car can eliminate enemies by shooting them and collect money bags by landing on them. The world is divided into several themed areas that are seamlessly connected. Jump Bug was ported to the Arcadia 2001, Leisure Vision, and PC-98 home systems. Synopsis from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA.

Where to buy

Jump Bug was a coin-op original — it never had a shelf release, so there is no boxed copy to buy. What you can buy is the hardware itself, or a later home conversion.

Nothing genuine listed right now — no arcade board or cabinet, and no home conversion we could confirm is this game. We would rather show you nothing than the wrong machine.

As an Amazon & eBay affiliate we may earn from qualifying purchases. Check region (PAL/NTSC), condition and completeness before buying.

Editions

The formats this game was pressed for. Years are the release for that platform where Wikidata records one — a blank year means the platform is documented but the date isn't.
